Firmware Version
I updated both receivers and transmitter to version 1.50 (6). I followed this Manual.
Here some notes to this manual.
- Using Windows XP (With VMware on OSX)
- I Installed this application ImmersionRCTools (v1.40) to update both receivers and transmitter over USB
- I connected both receivers and transmitter to USB with connected antenna(s)
- Unfortunally, Windows XP is not able to find the required drivers. The drivers can be easily installed by pointing the driver installer to the ImmersionRCTools installation folder (see here [german WinXP])
- Don't connect receivers and transmitter modules to the ImmersionRCTools (over COM port). For updating the RX/TX modules are booted in a different operation mode.
- After updating the
Firmware Version Check
Connect the RX/TX modules over USB to the ImmersionRCTools for checking the version.
Configure RX Module to use PPM
Connect the RX/TX modules over USB to the ImmersionRCTools for checking the version.
Go to to tab "Servo Mapping" and press button "Configure for Multicoper (PPM) use". This will configure the CH1 servo output to PPM. Don't forget to upload the Settings to reciever.
This worked perfectly with Mikrokopter Fligth Controller.
Bind receiver and transmitter
- Connect suitable antennas to both the EzUHF Tx, and Rx and place them within 1m of each other
- Connect the EzUHF Tx to the R/C Transmitter, switch to low power mode, hold down the pushbutton, and turn on the radio.
- As soon as a periodic beeping starts, let go of the button
- Connect the receiver over USB to ImmersionRCTools
- Click on bind on tab "Bind/RSSI"
- You should get a message that binding was successful. In my case it worked (ignore the title "error" in the message).
